When it’s time to say goodbye…
Paperwork is difficult enough to deal with but even more daunting when it’s not yours. What to save, what to shred, who may need it? When someone passes away and leaves you with their paperwork to sort out, it can be overwhelming and very emotional.
Grieving the loss of a loved one is a difficult and stressful time in everyone’s life but even more so if you’re the one left to deal with sorting things out. It’s not something many people do in their lives which leaves you asking so many questions that it usually just sits there taking up space and causing some major guilt feelings while ignoring it.
You don’t have to do it alone. The founder and owner of ClutterBye®, Jan Davis, has been helping people sort out their paperwork for over 14 years and has developed systems that will rid you of unnecessary papers, create files for future reference, and even scan everything into your own protected document files so you don’t have the burden of keeping the paper.
After years of sorting through other people’s paper, Jan has developed a keen sense and compassion for what you may want to keep and an expertise for what you need to keep and for how long.
Jan has been an active member of NAPO, the National Association of Productivity and Organizing Professionals, since 2003 and is currently serving as the President of the San Diego chapter for the second time. She has been the chapter Treasurer for two terms, the Vice President twice, the Director of Professional Development, and the chair and member of numerous committees. She has been certified as both a Freedom Filer and Paper Tiger consultant and a member of the Filing Geeks Club.
